Just my prediction, actually for most kind of physical games not necessarily footbal (soccer).
Players just stay at home using AR/VR set likes Hololens. He still needs to move though but staticly. The ball can be some form of 'controlled flow of air' .
And fans will also do the same. Can create a real sense of outdoor environment with sound system, wind etc. similar to attractions at some theme parks.
Wow! If this become reality, I can see lots of benefits :
- no more postpone of game (haze, rain, security)
- no need to travel (jet lag, delayed, accidents)
- safety for all (hooligans, war, injured during game)
- and many more..
Just make sure - no one would be able to hack the system, virus attack/ransome ware, software bug or bad guy codings. Ha ha ha
